East Area Campfire 2018

Dear Scouts,

East Area will be organising a campfire to celebrate our Scouts Founder's Day.

Details of the Campfire as follows:
Venue: Dunman High School
Cost: $5.35 per Scout (Inclusive of GST)
Date: 24 February 2018, Saturday
Time: 1800 hours – 2130 hours
Closing Date: 9 January 2018, Tuesday
Attire: Scout Uniform

1st World Scout Environment Programme

Dear Scouts,

The World Scout Environment Programme seeks to create an awareness of personal responsibility for the environment. The Programme is based on the principles for environment education in Scouting and extend to the various stages of Cub, Scouts, Ventures and Rovers. 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree

Dear Scouts,

The 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree will be held from 27th November to 4th December 2017. This jamboree will be organised by the Boy Scouts of Philippines, with the support of the ASEAN Scout Association.

CD Badge Course

Dear Scouts,

The CD (Civil Defense) Badge course will be conducted this coming Friday, 23rd June 2017. Details as follows:

SANA Badge Course Details

Dear Scouts,

The SANA (Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association) Badge course will be conducted this coming Wednesday, 21st June 2017. Details as follows:

Scout Training Schedule for June Holidays

Dear Scouts,

The next major event for the scouts will be our Annual Campfire, which will be held on the 22^nd July 2017. Our troop will be inviting scouts from other schools to our campfire, and your son / ward will be required to plan out a programme for them, and prepare the necessary logistics for the campfire. This is usually the time for the scouts to showcase their talents, and display the skills they have learnt during their scouting journey in St. Gabriel’s. 

The training sessions in June and July will be focused primarily on the preparation for the campfire. The sessions are mostly held in the afternoon, to facilitate the attendance of the venture / rover scouts who have graduated in previous years. Please refer to the table below for the list of scheduled trainings dates in June.

Cancellation of Scouts Training on 21st and 22nd of April 2017

Dear Scouts,

Do note that there will be no Scouts training on the 21st and 22nd April (Friday & Saturday).

This is to allow for all students to be able to focus on their revisions for the upcoming SA1 examinations.

Please spend your time wisely, and good luck with the revisions!

Scout Meeting on Friday (07 April 2017)

Dear Scouts,

There will be a scout meeting tomorrow (7 April), from 230pm - 430pm.

Attire will be half U. (Crux shirt, scouts pants, socks, black boots)

Scouts involved in Speech day (Actual + Reserved) will be required to go through Speech Day rehearsals one last time.

Scouts who are not involved in speech day will be tested on their drills and knots components for their scout standard.

Sec 3 scouts will be clearing their knots for Advanced scout standard.

Founder's Day Rehearsals

Greetings Scouts

The dates stated below will be the rehearsals for Founder's Day on 22/02/17. ALL Scouts are required to attend these trainings.

20/02/17 - 3 to 5.30pm  Attire: Full u (Sec 1s are to wear school PE t shirt with PE shorts)
21/02/17 - 3 to 5.30pm.  Attire: PT kit (Crux T shirt & PE shorts) (Sec 1s are to wear school PE t shirt with PE shorts)
22/02/17 - ALL Scouts are required to come to school by 6.30am for a last rehearsal before the actual parade itself.   Attire: Full u (Sec 1s are to wear school PE t shirt with PE shorts)

Those in improper attire or have missing items in their full u on any of these days will be severely dealt with unless a valid reason is given.
