1st World Scout Environment Programme

Dear Scouts,


The World Scout Environment Programme seeks to create an awareness of personal responsibility for the environment. The Programme is based on the principles for environment education in Scouting and extend to the various stages of Cub, Scouts, Ventures and Rovers. 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree

Dear Scouts,

The 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree will be held from 27th November to 4th December 2017. This jamboree will be organised by the Boy Scouts of Philippines, with the support of the ASEAN Scout Association.

Volunteers needed for Community Programme

Dear Scouts,

The Integration Naturalisation Champions (INCs) of Marine Parade GRC, MacPherson & Mountbatten SMCs is organising a GRC-led One Community Fiesta, “International Games Day! One Community Fiesta 2016”. The event aims to enhance social inclusion and community cohesion, through fostering of mutual respect, and understanding, by providing opportunities for active interaction among its participants through unique games from around the world.

The expected turnout is over 2,000 which includes mainly new citizens, PRs, and residents staying within the Marine Parade GRC, MacPherson and Mountbatten SMCs, as well as grassroots leaders and walk-in guests.

To make this event a meaningful and successful one, the organisers would like to request for volunteers to help out in the event. The following are details of the event.

        - To create and/or man the fringe booths
2. No. of volunteers: 5 student volunteers from Scouts

Date: Saturday, 19 November 2016
Time: 6.00pm – 10.00pm
Venue: Braddell Heights CC

Each other UG from our school will be sending down 5 volunteers.

Maritime Youth Festival

Dear Scouts,

Circular from Scouts HQ:

Organised by the Maritime and Port Authorities of Singapore, the biennial two-day Maritime Youth Festival (MYF) is the first ever maritime-themed event dedicated to engage the youths. 
Event details are as follows:
Date: 16th and 17th July 2016 (Saturday / Sunday)
Time: 11am - 8pm
Venue: Tan Quee Lan Street (Opposite Bugis Junction)
Join the MYF for a weekend of fun-filled activities! You can tour the game booths to learn about Maritime Singapore and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. There will also be specially designed games at the career corner that will help you understand professions in the maritime industry better. You will also get a chance to do a personality profiling to learn more about yourself.

Things to bring: Stationery, Water, Packed Lunch/Money for Lunch
