Do check back to see if there are any updates.

The departure time from sarimbun

Dear All,

There has been conflicting information given out in terms of the departure time (on 9th Dec)from the campsite, nothing is concrete at the moment. To date, the bus has been booked to pick you up at 12 from Sarimbun and you should arrive at the school gate at 1pm. This is the information we will be giving the camp personnels tomorrow. However, if there is any change due to the need to help clear the campsite or anything, the changes will be reflected in this blog space in real time, so get your family to check on this space for any updates :)

Take care and rest well and I shall see you tomorrow morning at the school gate :) Let us pray for good weather throughout the camp session so you will get to enjoy it to the fullest :)

Ms Toh

Important notice for ASEAN Jamboree

Greetings,

There has been some miscommunication with regards to the attire and boots. I would like to standardize the necessary things to ease any confusion.

All Scouts/Ventures are to gather outside the school on the 4th (according to the stated time given my the teachers) in full uniform with BOOTS and Centenary Scarf. My apologize about informing you guys not to wear boots, but I have come to realized that Singapore Jamboree isn't that bad in terms of the mud condition. Therefore, I would need everyone to bring wear their boots with their full uniform on that day. You are also required to wear your full uniform for the opening and closing ceremony. Please bring along your sports shoes as well for the activities.

Do take note that this coming Friday, you do not need to report to school as the teachers aren't available for duty. Therefore, you will be collecting your tents on that day itself. Please make sure you check the packing list in the previous blogs. Please keep the habit of referring to the blog for latest updates.

Patrol Leaders of 2010 and sec 3's, I would need you guys to come to school this coming Friday, 3rd December, to bring home the gadget poles, some ropes and the Troop flag as the school will be closed this coming Saturday. Thank you.

Yours in Scouting,
AVSL Benjamin Sho
2006 Souther Cross Scout Troop

More updates

Dear Jamboree participants,

In addition to the list provided previously, please note that the following information will come in handy for the Jamboree:

- please label EVERYTHING that belongs to you, as there will be similar items lying around all the time and you do not want to lose anything ;)

- there will be no power source available as the only few power points are used for computers and stuff, therefore no charging of electronic stuff (please try not to bring them)

- Do not bring valuables as you are unable to keep them with you all the time when you are doing the activities. If you leave them in the tent, you face the consequences of them being stolen.

- there is no locker services therefore bring only things that you can leave safely in the tent.

- Bring extra set of uniform as standby as you need to wear them for certain ceremonies.

- Bring washing detergent or powder for both clothes and dishes

- wear the blue jamboree scarf given to you in the goodie bag at the camp at all times, but please bring your own scarf as a back up plan.

- Gadget poles for shoe racks and clothes rack will come in useful

- WATERPROOF EVERYTHING as it is the rainy season! You do not want to end up with wet clothes even before the jamboree starts.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, PLEASE CHECK THIS SITE ON A REGULAR BASIS, AS THERE MIGHT BE UPDATES ALL THE TIME.

Be well-prepared for the Jamboree so that you can enjoy it to the fullest :) Please do not be late as we have many issues at hand to settle before you board the bus on saturday so please BE on time.
