National Exploration Challenge

Dear all,

this event will be held at the Marina Barrage on (Sat) 30 July 2011. This year's Challenge will comprise activities that are specially crafted to develop and challenge skills in areas such as map-reading, navigation, observation, and mapmaking. The Challenge will test patrols on navigation, observation, orienteering and mapping. Every participant will receive 1 commemorative event badge and 1 award badge.

We will be sending a team of 5 members and the participants are

5. Ong Kaiwen

Selected participants are to report to Marina Barrage by 0800 hrs. The attire is Scout shirt with scarf and shorts. Estimated ending time is 1800 hrs.

District Bowling Competition on 23 July

Dear all,

Serangoon District will be organizing the above mentioned event for Scout groups.
The details of this event are as follows:

Date : 23 July 2011 (Saturday)
Venue : Hougang Superbowl
Registration : 9.30 am
Attire : Half Uniform

1) A team is made up of 4 members.
2) Participating groups can earn points for the Frank Cooper Sands Award.
3) Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.

Meeting on Friday, 15th of July

Dear scouts,

Please fall-in by 2pm tomorrow AFTER YOUR LUNCH. There will be NO opening ceremony due to time constraints. However, you will still need to bring your full uniform. Bring along your Scout Record Book as well so that the leaders can sign to confirm you have passed the test.

All Sec 2s will be dismissed at 4pm to prepare for the concert at night. The rest of the unit will be dismissed at 5pm.

Payment for Scout Marching Boots
Sec 1 scouts who have yet to submit the $15 for their Marching boots, please remember to submit the money during the meeting on Friday, 08 July 2011. I will be there to collect the money from you guys.
