Final day for collection of donation draw tickets

Greetings scouts,

For those scouts who have not YET handed in their donation draw tickets, please bring it along tomorrow 1st of August as it is the FINAL  day for collection. If you have LOST any of the ticket books , a sum of $10 has to be made for each missing book.

NDP Parade Training Dates

Here are the COMPULSORY training dates in preparation for the NDP Parade for those in the GOH contingent and substitutes.

25/7 Thursday      3pm-6pm  (half u)
30/7 Tuesday       2.30-5       (half u)
31/7 Wednesday  3-630        (half u)
1/8   Thursday      3-630        (full u)
2/8   Friday          2.30-5.30  (full u) {SMs and PSs to report at 4 for training)

Tentative dates

5/8 Monday
6/8 Tuesday

These rehearsals are compulsory for all involved unless you have a valid reason. Failure to turn up without an appropriate reason would be severely dealt with.

Meeting on Friday (19th July 2013)

Greetings scouts,

There will be a meeting on Friday (19/7/13) after the Racial Harmony Celebration . Fall in outside the scout den in your pt kit  at 130pm  and have the flag pole up by 2pm. Bring your FULL U, DONATION DRAW TICKETS,  your exercise book and writing materials, and a  bag of dried leaves/dried coconut husks/dried sticks. The materials specified is especially essential for Friday. The meeting would end around 630pm. This meeting is compulsory for all scouts unless you have a valid reason. Failure to turn up without and appropriate reason would be severely dealt with.

9th Asia-Pacific Region Air / Internet Jamboree

Greetings Greetings Scouts,

The Asia-Pacific Regional Air/Internet Jamboree (APR AIJ) is an interactive event held every year where participants communicate through amateur radio and the internet to exchange ideas and experience international Scouting from their own respective countries. APR AIJ also provides Scouts and leaders the opportunity to discover other countries over the airwaves through individual conversations, ready to establish connections and bonding across the globe.

Aims

APR AIJ is a way for Scouts from Asia-Pacific Region to reaffirm their commitment to world peace through opening channels of communication, leading to a greater understanding between the young people of our region and the world.

Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th August 2013
Official Opening Ceremony - 10am (UTC/GMT+9 on Saturday 3rd August
Medium : - Amateur Radio users can use the official Radio Channel

for those who wish to participate in this event, do remember to register your name latest by this friday to me.
