Meeting on the 30/7 and details of the district sports carnival

Greetings.

There would be a Scout meeting on the 30/7(Friday) for those who are not participating in the Sports Carnival. Fall-in at 1400hrs and the attire will be full Scout uniform. The duty patrol will be Dove.

Items to bring:
-Scout uniform
-1.5L Sprite bottle
-Scout file with notes
-Scout record booklet

For those who are going for the Sports carnival, The bus would reach St.Gabriel's at 1345pm, do have a quick lunch and do not be late. We would arrive the school at 1430hrs.The attire would be PT kit( try to standardize with blue St Gabriel's PE shirt or CRUX).

Items to bring:
-PT kit
-water bottle
-towel (to dry yourself)
-suitable footwear(Do not wear studded shoes for soccer)

Sports Carnival

Dear participants,

Do ensure that you are to fall in at 140 pm at the foyer. Do take a quick light lunch beforehand.

As for attire, you are to bring your
1. Crux shirt and shorts (If not, school PT kit is fine)
2. Water bottle
3. Suitable footwear (Studded shoes are NOT allowed, for safety reasons)
4. Towel and spare clothings to change

Dear all,
I am pleased to further share that we have managed to gain approval of subsidies of $150 per scout from the school. Thus the breakdown as shown.

Scout Jamboree

Dear Parents, Ventures and Scouts,
as attached for your information. Traditionally, we hold our Annual Training Camp in Sarimbun Scout Camp during early Dec. However, in view of this once in a lifetime event (JAMB 100 and 3rd ASEAN Jamboree being held in Singapore), we have decided to replace the Annual Training Camp with this Jamboree so as to provide opportunities for our boys to experience fun and interaction with Scouts and Guides from all over the world. Furthermore, they will gain CCA points from their participation in this event.

Henceforth i would like to make it compulsory for them to attend the Jamboree which will be held from 4-9 Dec. I understand the boys may have family overseas trips but i do appeal to you to make arrangements so as to allow your son/ward to take part in this unique journey. Thank you.

JAMB 100 CUM 3RD ASEAN JAMBOREE (4-9 DECEMBER 2010)
Greetings from the Singapore Scout Association!
As part of our celebrations of 100 years of Scouting in Singapore, we cordially invite you to send Scouts and leaders to join us in our JAMB 100 and 3rd ASEAN Jamboree to be held from 4 to 9 December 2010.
Basic Jamboree Details are as follows:-
Theme : Building Common Space
Date : 4 - 9 December 2010
(Arrive on 4 December and leave the Jamboree site on 9 December 2010).
Venue : 3 camp sites as follows:-
a) Sarimbun Scout Camp
b) Camp Christine
c) MOE Jalan Bahtera Adventure Centre

Fees : S$200 (Local Participants aged 11-16 years old)
S$150 (*Adult Leaders & Staff aged 17 & above)
(Fees cover food, activities on-site and educational visits to places of interests off-site and Jamboree Souvenirs).
Max. Capacity : 3,000 Scouts and Leaders from all over the country with overseas participants.

Meeting on the 23 July and 24 July

Greetings.

There would be a Scout meeting on the 23/7 (Friday). The duty patrol will be Swift. Fall-in in full uniform at 1400hrs.

Also, there would be another Scout meeting on the 24/7 ( Saturday). The duty patrol would be Woodstock and all must fall-in at 0800hrs sharp in full uniform. If you come early, do help the duty patrol to bring up the flagpole.

Meeting on the 16/7

Greetings.

Do take note that there is a Scout meeting on the 16/7 (Friday). The duty patrol will be Owl. Fall-in in Scout uniform at 1400hours.

• Full Scout uniform

• PT kit

Failing to bring any of the items above would result in severe punishment. If you have any questions, please ask your fellow PLs.

Meeting on the 9/7 and 10/7, Campfire on the 10/7 and training dates for Term 3

Greetings.

1)There would be Scout meetings on the 9/7 (Friday) and 10/7 ( Saturday). The duty patrol during the meeting would be Eagle and Kingfisher respectively.

Fall-in:

• Time- 1400hrs
• Attire- Full uniform
• Flagpole must be up

Things to bring:

1. PT kit
2. Water bottle
3. Scout Record Book with waterproof zip-lock bag ( the Sec1s would receive their Scout Record Book on Friday)

2) There would be an Area campfire on the 10/7 (Saturday). It would be at Bedok South Secondary School. For those who are going, meet at the HDB flat opposite our school at 1700hrs.

The attire is Full Uniform.
